Providing Insight On

This is Why Part-Timers Do Not Work

May 2, 2017

Last night was, in my opinion, was one of the best RAW main events in recent memory.

Finn Balor, Seth Rollins & The Miz did battle in a triple-threat match to determine the number one contender for the Intercontinental Champion, currently held by Dean Ambrose. The Lunatic Fringe took it upon himself to call GM Kurt Angle and suggest these three superstars square off.

His suggestion turned out to be epic. Each competitor put on a display that kept the crowd on their feet practically the entire match. With some help from Samoa Joe and the "Eater of Worlds' Bray Wyatt, the MIz ultimately score the pinfall to secure the victory; escaping from what would have been a last minute Coup de' Grace from Balor. Wyatt's split screen hit while Finn was on the top rope, seconds after Rollins had been taken out by Joe. Balor was hit with a vicious Sister Abigail and Wyatt marveled in what he just done.

While last night's main event has locked up some pretty good scenarios/ match-ups going forward on Raw, i just can't help but think one thing..

(If Paul Heyman is reading this...i apologize in advance)

The MIz, Rollins & Balor were all pleading their case last night on why they should be Universal Champion. While I enjoy the fact that we will see a summer of Balor/Wyatt, Rollins/Joe and even Miz/Ambrose; the Beast Incarnate should have been in the building last night. Lesnar is a fighting champion, minus this little "hiatus', and he should have been ready to fight or at the very least lay down the gauntlet for one of these superstars.

The Universal Champion should be a fixture on Raw every single Monday night. If you're going to have Lesnar here part time, then he doesn't deserve to be handed a title, and guess what; neither did Goldberg. I don't care how much he drew or if his entrance still draws a pop. There are WAY more deserving athletes in the Raw locker room that are ready to take the ball and run with it, 365, 24/7. Imagine for a second if Owens had stayed champion through Mania ? A Balor/Owens feud leading to SummerSlam ? Maybe even a triple threat with Rollins to determine who's the best of the best.

I respect what the Beast has done both inside the squared cirlce and the Octagon. But i am not amused with him being off TV.

Fight Brock Fight or leave Suplex City all together..
