RAW Preview for August 7th: The Monster & The Big Dog Collide

August 7, 2017

Strap in kiddies....

We are just two weeks away from SummerSlam and tonight on RAW; a collision course is upon us.

Roman Reigns takes on Braun Strowman in a Last Man Standing Match. If this match-up is anything like their Ambulance Match at Great Balls of Fire, the violence meter is going to hit an all-time high. These two mastodons need to keep something left in the tank; as to just leave their other opponent's in the Fatal Four Way with just a preview of the pain they are going to inflict.

With Samoa Joe & current Universal Champion waiting in the wings, expect the Beast and The Samoan Submission Machine to be make their presence felt in some way.

F&^% THAT OWL. That's literally what the Hardyz are saying to GFW. And good on them.

Instead of fighting fire with fire; they're fighting with a "new" gimmick. Yes, we may not be getting the Broken Hardyz in WWE....but will we be seeing the 2.0 version of the "Woken" Hardyz ?

For weeks now we've been seeing little glimmers of hope and signs of becoming OBSOLETE. It seems like between the Club, consisting of Gallows & Anderson, the Revival getting the best of them, and Sheamus & Cesaro still staking claim to tag team gold; Matt & Jeff are going to make us wait just a little bit longer to become "Woken". SummerSlam sounds like perfect time to unleash and DELETE the competition.

Finn Balor and Bray Wyatt is the story line we deserve. Period.

SN is a big believer that these two characters bring out the best in each other and last week we got to witness just a sample of what is to come. Balor playing mind games with Bray and vice versa. Hopefully this rivalry triggers the return of the Demon King at SummerSlam. We have not seen the alter ego of the Balor Club leader since last year's event, where Balor became the inaugural Universal Champion.

Seems like a fitting time to introduce himself to the Eater Of Worlds.

Tough news about Bayley being injured. With surgery on the horizon for the former RAW Women's Champion, a new contender will emerge tonight. Look for Sasha Banks or Nia Jax to replace Bayley as the new opponent for Alexa Bliss at SummerSlam.

I'm personally rooting for Jax. She's been on path of destruction lately. Not to mention, she has been Bliss' only protector and ally. These two "friends" taking on each other in Brooklyn, with the title on the line, would be a terrific matchup.
